An infinite stream of user generated content with direct engagement possibilities is enough to fry our brains

>Claude really likes

Plenty of developers really like it too though, because that's where Claude learned to use it.

People keep talking about e2ee as if it was some brain-to-brain encoding that truly allowed only the recipient person to decrypt the message

because it used to be that the ends and the middlemen were different entities.

In the universe where they are the same entity (walled-gardens) there is only the middleman.

In such cases you either trust them or you don’t, anything more is not required because they can compromise their own endpoints in a way you can not detect.

You couldn't make that argument because Patreon is also a platform to host content, not just send money. If it was something like a twitch donation app the argument would make more sense

The hosting aspect is only necessary because a) piracy and b) Google would eat their lunch if they were the gate keeper to content. Bit like how Ticketmaster takes all the money from artists because they get to say who sits in a seat.

You could if they built a donation & support trading app separate from the content app?

Software in much more tied to the OS though. For example, Chrome is still compatible with Windows 10 which is more than 10 years old, while on macOS you cannot install it past Monterey (2021). Not to mention that also system applications are updated with the OS, so forget about using Safari

I mean, they still work in some way. If you use tracking pixels to see if an email was read, I agree with you that this break the functionality. But if you just want to see if the email exists, then the fact that google fetches them (and triggers the parametric URL) still tells you something

So, why use a tracking pixel for that? Just send an email. e.g.

    $ head -n 100 /dev/random | md5sum
    a6cc1b7c09ccb122cb066c89e16b3140 -

And that yields an instantaneous error message https://i.imgur.com/twHhIU3.png that reads "Address not found. Your message to a6cc1b7c09ccb122cb066c89e16b3140@gmail.com was not delivered because the address could not be found".

It would be better if google also fetched tracking pixels in emails sent to addresses that do not exist.

More than pooping a lot, they literally cannot hold it. Humans don't poop that much, but imagine if everyone just did it on the floor at a moment's notice regardless of where they are

AI is a quantum horse

Are you sure it's the auto-replace and not the dynamic keyboard doing its dark magic?

Do you have anything to back this up?
