edit: IDK how ethically right it is (in my opinion it is) but when posting paywalled content we should post the archive link directly or at least as part of the submission

The archive link is also paywalled.

That's good to know and terrible news. It looks like a different paywall than the one I see going directly to the NYT link, it let me view the article the first time and now simply entered an unresolving state.

Anyway shame on you NYT, this is like boycotting the web archive, ridiculous...

My father did it when he was a child so he could "be like his brother" who was 1.5 year older and the favorite son of his mother (this brother was the first male son after a female who was the first overall).

He is now right handed for almost everything but really skilled with the left hand, I remember that once he broke the right wrist and could easily write with the left hand for example.

Threat model: The Mossad doing Mossad things with your [change "email address" with "anything"]

Solution:

- Magical amulets?

- Fake your own death, move into a submarine?

- YOU'RE STILL GONNA BE MOSSAD'ED UPON

I think that's it.

Thanks for the link! When it is well done comedy often covers something more profound and summarizes it in an accessible and more memorable manner just like the video you are talking about.

"The world is fucked, and you cannot un-fuck it."

"You will die one day just as confused as you are now."

"Everything you think you need to do was done before you and will be done after you."

"Whether you are fat or thin haters will hate."

"Nothing really matters."

There are some really deep insights in all of those thoughts, thanks for sharing.

PS: this remembers me of a sketch about giraffes being an animal created by a gay friend of the comedian, after the sketch I learned that giraffes engage in male-male acts more often than male-female acts and got mindblown. They have been called "especially gay" for this fact.

That's an extremely narrow view on what's technical debt. (imho)

My brain read the title as "Yet another technical debt article", I read it anyway and it really sounded like yet another of the same stuff, then I read the title back and decided to write this comment.

I don't see why this should be "not another" except it is shorter than those ten pages long blabbing medium posts, but the content is always the same.

What an awesome time to be a shark!

Remembering that poor guy always makes me sad...

When building a toy demo where we taught GPT4 how to perform queries against a specific Postgres schema, we had to use a lot of those "I repeat", "AGAIN YOU MUST NOT", "please don't", etc. to avoid it embedding markdown, comments or random text in the responses where we just wanted SQL statements.

It was a facepalming experience but in the end the results were actually pretty good.
