People are rightly turned off that the Python Software Foundation (which Kenneth is a core member of) declared PipEnv the official package manager[0]. It reeks of favoritism, insider politics and the cult of personality surrounding the tool's author. It would have been better if PipEnv proved itself as a better tool in the open marketplace of ideas.

The community prides itself on being 'diverse' yet it's always the same names, over and over again. That's how you know who's in the club.

But on the other hand you could just do your own thing, write your own software and tools and ignore it.


Python the community is full of dogma. That is why I don't like the language and I stay away from the community. Their own ideas come before objective truth to them.

Not only, of course. BTW I have consciously avoided saying I disliked it.
